This year, CIBA is giving away five gift cards to Canadian independent bookstores. Four readers will win $200 each to the CIBA member bookstore of their choice and one very lucky winner will win the grand prize of $1,000 to their favourite CIBA member bookstore!

How To Enter

1. Buy books from your favourite indie

Every book purchased from any Canadian independent bookstore on April 26 is worth one entry. Books written and/or illustrated by Canadian creators will be worth double. Books can be purchased in-store, online, or by phone. Proof of purchase is required.

2. Fill out the contest form

The link to our entry form will be found on this page between 12:00am AT on Saturday, April 27 and 11:59pm PT on Friday, May 2. You will be required to specify how many books you purchased and how many of those were by Canadian authors/illustrators. You will also be asked to upload your proof of purchase and certify that you understand the terms and conditions.

3. Hope you win!

After the contest closes, the CIBA team will randomly select five winners. CIBA will contact prospective winners via the information provided at the time of entry with next steps. Winners will be asked to sign a declaration and release form and select a bookstore from the list of active CIBA Bookseller Members.
